Environmental concerns are paramount in todays collision repair industry. Most vehicle manufacturers use water based paint in the factories greatly reducing their carbon footprint on the environment. Unfortunately, most auto body repair facilities still use solvent based paint that is very hard on the atmosphere in which we all live. Waterborne paint is mandatory in Europe, Canada, and parts of New York and California. Within the next 5 years waterborne paint will more than likely be mandatory throughout the entire United States.
At Dents Unlimited we use only Dupont Cromax Pro paint, a 100% waterborne paint manufactured by Dupont Industries. DuPont Cromax Pro paint color matches are unparalleled in the industry and the mixing bank is always consistent, regardless of the mix technique or spray technique used by the technician.
At Dents Unlimited we mix all of our paints in house off the factory paint code provided by the manufacturer, taking into account all of the variances available to ensure the right formula is used for your particular vehicle. At Dents Unlimited we are keeping our carbon footprint as small as possible while providing a better product that is consistent with what the manufacturers use at the factories.
